F.I.T. and SWY: A Learning Experience
Roberta Elins, Chairperson of Advertising and Marketing Communications at the Fashion Institute of Technology (F.I.T.) knew she had found the right charitable organization on which to base her Special Events class final project when she heard about SWY. Both using clothing as a foundation, F.I.T. and SWY were a great partnership that allowed Elins students to apply what they had learned throughout the semester. Emily Spivack, a SWY volunteer, and a F.I.T. professor judged the projects; the best proposal will be implemented in the Fall 2003 semester.
